which is basically what today has been! Basically because I am a tad obsessive most of my day has been on my couch in front of one Round 3 game or another:
10 am: UNC-WASHINGTON… blah UNC won
12:30 pm: DUKE-MICHIGAN….. Duke won yay because that was in my bracket but the sentimental side of me wanted Michigan to win… I used to live there hahaha
I stopped half way through this game to go to Hot Power Fusion Yoga… holy moses was it a GREAT workout! It was exactly what my tired achey body needed! Within the first 10 minutes I was a hot sweaty mess… YUM! Basically the class is hot yoga but with a vinyasa flow! I hardly ever do normal yoga because I have the attention span of a donut and like to be moving alot! The studio I go to has a kick butt Yoga Sculpt class that I go to 2-3 times a week and whew is that toughie! Yoga, weight circuits, and plyo all mixed into one hour-long power workout! However today I need to stretch and sweat out toxins!
After yoga, a quick jaunt to Target where I was regaled with the sales clerk’s drunken St. Patty’s day (epic win) and then Whole Foods (I’m a meat snob… I only get my meat at WF) it was back to the couch! And oh what a game my couch has brought!
ARIZONA-TEXAS….. OMG what a game!!!!! That was insane! Once again a game going being determined in the last 10 seconds! Thankfully I had U of A going through!!!!!
Also VCU-PURDUE… Ugh looks like my bracket could be upset AGAIN! C’MON PURDUE!!!
Later on:KU-ILLINOIS! This is a hard one for me because I LOVE KU, but I am originally from Chicago and so the Illini have a place in my heart as well!
NOTRE DAME-FSU…. I want ND to win!
And now, drum roll please, my first real recipe on this blog the frosting doesn’t count! Asian Meatballs with fried rice!
I found this recipe on Iowa Girl Eats the other day and have been dying to make it! I kinda did my own thing with the recipe tho!
I used 1 lb ground turkey, 1 egg white, 1/2 c whole wheat bread crumbs, 1 tblsp sesame oil, 2 tblsp soy sauce, 1/2 c scallions, 1 clove of garlic
Mix em all together, create whatever size balls you want, and put them on a baking sheet lined with tin foil! I baked these on 450 F for 20 minutes!
To go with it I made fried rice! And I got the rice perfect, soft fluffy and perfect!! yum yum yum! I usually mess rice up which is weird !
For the rice its 2 c brown rice, 3 egg whites, 1/4 c frozen peas and carrots, 1/4 c frozen corn
I am also throwing in some broccoli slaw for more veggies! yum yum yum
also I am making more than I will eat for leftovers!
mmmm extra sauce!
lonely meat ball!
Thank you so much Kristin for sharing this recipe!
I got hungry while cooking and ate half an orange pepper! Peppers are my favorite veggie, and can eat an entire one in a single sitting!
What is your favorite snack?
xxoo
Peace, Love, and be Sperry!

Yum – looks delish! I’ve been dying to try hot yoga for YEARS now. Time to hop on the bandwagon sometime soon, I think.
My favorite snack (at the moment) is a slice of Cinnamon Swirl bread from Great Harvest. I can’t get enough!
You definitely should! I do it once a week and my body feels so much better afterwards! All the running is slowly taking it’s toll! I need to get myself to Great Harvest asap your break always looks amazing!
Also thank you you are my first comment!!!
